SkaPunk Bowling's featured Band of the Day, August 22nd, Atomic Zombies!

Just the name by itself is super sweet. Then you hear the tunes, and you're like, "Yeah, this is awesome." Then you see Riley's mohawk, which is WAY better than mine, and he definitely has the coolest guitar cabinet in town. These guys are personal friends of mine, and I'm stoked to be playing with them once again, on October 4th, at Pub Rock Live. Great people, great music, and great attitudes towards other musicians.

The Atomic Zombies formed in 2009 in Phoenix, Arizona. Jess and Gus have a long history of friendship and music projects that spans over the last fifteen years. And after going there separate ways for a few years have come back together in this new band. Jess has played in a number of local Phoenix and San Diego based bands, including Sonic Thrills, Monstar, Hell on heels and Ghost in the Graveyard. And currently plays with the Cremains and the Yah De Lahs as well. Gus has also played in a number of local Phoenix bands including Monstar, Needlfreak and Crotalus. Riley has been playing guitar for a number of years, is classically trained in music, and has recently started singing. He played in San Diego based bands Ghost in the Graveyard and Skin N Bones, and early Phoenix band4-NIC-8.

They have free music at their Reverbnation site, located here, and don't forget to 'like' them on the ol' Facebizzness.I don't think they have a Twitter account, but they should probably get on that! AHEM AHEM!!
