Whew. Sometimes you just have to walk away from all this crazy technology and the addiction to computers to regain sanity. I needed a couple of days away. In the duration of my absence, had some meetings with people, and I'd like to welcome LaDep Custom Cruisers as another one of our sponsors! Go give em a Facebook Fonzie and support a LOCAL Phoenix business. We'll have a sweet raffle from them during the weekend, to be determined later, but since it's LaDep, you KNOW it's going to be cool.
A very big and special event will be happening on the last night of the weekend at one of the venues, and you won't want to miss it. It will definitely make the $30 three-day passes worth it, let's just say that much. Trust me.
Also got figured out how to sell tickets online, so for those that can't make it to a KUKQ event, or by one from a band, you will be able to buy tix online too. I'll make sure you guys all get the link when it's time to sell tickets. Huzzah for technology.
As a courtesy, starting 50 days before the event, I will be showcasing one "Band of The Day" on the Facebook page (and here, of course) for everyone to check out. I think it's the right thing to do, and get some exposure for these bands that are playing for you. It'll give everyone a chance to hear new bands, and figure out who they want to see throughout the weekend. Local bands need the love too, so it's about high time someone gave it to them. After all, all the big bands start as small ones, am I right?!!?!?
Speaking of love, you guys are RULING the Facebook page. We're almost at 170 friends already, and I feel like I should reward you guys by giving away 2 three-day passes to a randomly selected person if we can get over 250. Challenge accepted?
Bands that are interested in playing, please read:
I will begin emailing you to confirm dates and times with soon, so keep your eyes peeled on your inboxes or FB msg boxes. I am going in order of which they were received so if you don't get a message from me right way, just be patient. I am juggling being in two bands, a full-time 40 hours a week job, this October event, being the president of a bowling league, and a personal business all at once. Needless to say, I'm a bit busy. Oh and I have a wife, too, who apparently is hiding her annoyance for my insane schedule. So there's that. Thanks for being patient, I promise I will get to all of you. Without you guys, this event is nothing.
For everyone: I will be out of town in Vegas next week, so if I don't respond to your emails or messages, it's because I'm probably gambling my life savings away, or passed out on the sidewalk and burning up in the sun after wolfing down a 190 Octane from Fat Tuesday. I haven't been out of town since I got married last June, so I'm way overdue for a short vacation.
I think that's all for now, and as Bartles and James used to say, "We thank you for your support."
